YBB Favorites For March 2019

Hey, beauties we’re super stoked to be sharing our first of hopefully many YBB Faves with you.

Each month we’ll be sharing our favorite products that we’ve tried and let you know if we think each product works on different skin types, as well as if each meets the needs of the under 30 and over 30 crowds (as applicable).

We’re starting off our first YBB monthly favorites with some of the skincare and mascara products we have been loving this March.

Ok, so we all have totally different skin types, and our needs are different at different ages, and that makes it hard to find a product that can work on everyone. The great news is some beauty brands just get that and can hit a home run with a lineup of moisturizers for those that are under 30 as well as over 30. Two of our favorite daily moisturizers belong to Origin and here’s why.

This is one of my absolute go-to favorite daily moisturizers! If you’re someone who struggles with dry skin you’re going to absolutely love this jar of heavenly smelling skin-quenching miracle cream. I’ve tried more skin creams than a person should need to try. I struggled to find one that my skin didn’t rapidly drink like a tall glass of water on a scorching day in the sun and found Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer to be one of my best finds. The texture is light yet creamy, and I didn’t need a tonne of it to cover my skin. After putting it on, my skin immediately felt softer and slightly dewy. It stayed a bit dewy for most of the day, and I was pleased with the slight tangerine scent it gave off. This is a fantastic daily hydrating moisturizer for some over 30 or if you have dry facial skin. Here’s our YBB Rating (based on a trial over a 1 week period).

Texture: Ultra light yet surprisingly rich too

Scent: Slight tangerine (almost smells like a real tangerine…mmmmmm)

Hydration: Hydrating with a slightly dewy feel

Long lasting: Skin stayed hydrated for the day

Worked as expected: Yes

Pros: Lightweight, nice soft fragrance, long-lasting hydration

Cons: Could be a larger quantity for the price to appeal to smaller budgets.
